“In Mateusz Sadowski’stop motion film The Resonance, movement is mediated through layers of animation and physical space. Previously recorded films of everyday actions are separated frame by frame into a stack of images, shrinking and growing in waves as the original recordings are physically reactivated. By placing the emphasis on each animation frame as an object, printed on paper or cardboard and precariously stacked, Sadowski makes each moment tangible yet distant, engaging with layers of reality.”  —Isabella Kapur, Curatorial and Communications Intern
