Dana Levy’s The Weight of Things animates a 19th century etching of the bedroom in the Palace of Versailles in the midst of an earthquake. Every detail, from the moldings to the small figures in the hung paintings, tremble. Eventually, all of the elements of the detailed etching gradually fall and accumulate to a pile on the floor, leaving only the bare walls of the once heavily adorned bedroom intact.
