In the second installment of work by Jessica Mein (b. 1975, Brazil), featured on the occasion of her solo exhibition at Simon Preston Gallery through December 23, is meronumero (2011), an animated film which uses discarded billboards fraught with printing errors as the platform for abstract animation. Drawing is used as a means of recording the ever-changing landscape, and presenting creative responses to specific environmental conditions.
