For the next month, we’ll highlight a series of animated drawings done in graphite by a selection of internationally recognized artists. Ranging from quick gestures to more elaborate narratives, all of the films feature hand-drawn imagery at their foundation. Labyrinth by Adam Thompson,  a Brooklyn-based artist, is a ten minute animation made by culling drawings from his archive of thousands of images executed in mechanical pencil, each of which attempts to crystalize a surprising or absurd visual idea
